Braggin' rights are up for grabs at Hava NaGrilla 2 The Thrilla of the Grilla Sunday June 6, 2010, when Golden Slipper will again host Hava NaGrilla Kosher BBQ Contest & Family Fun Day at Willow Grove Day Camp in Willow Grove, PA. In its second year Hava NaGrilla has proven to be the premier event for the Jewish community. Last year's event drew 17 BBQ competitors and 1,000 attendees this year's event is shaping up to be even bigger and better with 40 teams expected to compete and 2,000 attendees.
Golden Slipper Club & Charities is hosting this unique event for the general public to promote Jewish culture and raise money for our charitable endeavors. It will involve a wide array of activities, all in the name of family fun, camaraderie, and charity including:
- Kosher BBQ contest, complete with trophies for the best beans, brisket, chicken, ribs, best team name, most creative booth, and overall grand champion.
- Celebrity food judges who will determine the best recipes.
- Fun Zone with moon bounce, obstacle course, giant slide, games, face painting, balloon making, paddle boats, carnival games and new for 2010 Laser Tag Stadium, plus other great activities.
- Free popcorn, cotton candy, and more!
- Patches O'Houlihan Memorial Dodgeball Tournament
- Gaga Tournaments
- Raffle drawing for a brand new Apple iPad
- Two 50/50 drawings
- Tastykake eating contest
- Basketball Skills Challenge
- The Nosh Pit Café for great food.
- All day entertainment, including music from It Takes 2 Disc Jockey Services and live performances!
